The art of weaving

PRE-LAUNCH X SOHO HOUSE

Behind every TIRYAJ garment is a family, a tradition, and a centuries-old technique passed down by word of mouth, not textbooks. We work with over 30 artisans across India from the snow-dusted peaks of Changthang to the sun-baked looms of Kutch each preserving a craft that predates modern fashion by thousands of years. They do not mass-produce. They do not rush.

They weave in silence, with intention dyeing yarns in natural hues, spinning threads by hand, and breathing life into fabric that carries stories of land, culture, and resilience. At TIRYAJ, we do not just partner with artisans we build with them.

We pay them 50–75% above market rates, invest in their tools, celebrate their authorship, and protect their knowledge. Because our clothes are not made in factories they are made in homes, courtyards, and memories.

“For a lot of couturiers, a minaudière is meant to be precious, even dramatic. I wanted mine to be iconic but in a matter-of-fact way—almost like a logo t-shirt.”
